Organization contact informationCASA Information Sessions

The first step in becoming a CASA volunteer is to attend an information session. At the sessions, guests have the opportunity to hear from a CASA volunteer and a CASA supervisor about the process of advocating for a child who has been abused or neglected. It’s the best way to get the full picture of what’s involved. RSVP to attend to volunteer@casafairfax.org

Standing Up for Racial Justice

Mission: SURJ’s values ground our work and have been developed and honed over more than a decade of organizing. We believe we must have an inclusive, openhearted approach to organizing— bringing more and more people into this work rather than creating barriers to participation— while maintaining clear commitments to justice.

Through community organizing, mobilizing, and education, SURJ moves white people to act as part of a multiracial movement for justice with passion and accountability. We work to connect people across Northern Virginia while supporting and collaborating with local and national racial justice organizing efforts. SURJ provides a space to build relationships, skills, and political analysis to act for change.
